The lyrics for "Glass Houses" were conceptualized during the time when the people of Liebig 34 in Berlin were under threat of eviction from their homes. Liebig 34 was the home of the anarcha-queer-feminist-collective since 1990 and was evicted in 2020... but they live on strong! The song was further developed during the time when the Wagenplatz of the housing project Køpi was under duress. Køpi was squatted in 1990 and legalized in 1991. In October 2021 the Wagenplatz was evicted, despite the 1,000+ supporters that demonstrated.

This song is a comment on our basic human right to have safe, secure shelter and a place to call home without the threat of eviction due to gentrification.
