Since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels (like coal, oil and gas), but also due to clear cutting forests, agriculture, the meat and dairy industry and trawling the ocean floor. Climate change is real, and although we all have an individual responsibility to do the best we can with our eco footprint, the greatest responsibility lays in the hands of our leaders who have been ignoring environmental scientists since the 80s.
